The goals of CCCAOE fall under three broad groupings, identified in the business plan:

Organization Infrastructure

  • Provide a forum for discussion of issues
  • Provide for and support the leadership of the Association
  • Ensure fiscal stability of the Association
  • Liaison with other organizations to maximizeopportunities for members

External Operations/Outreach

  • Advocate and promote leadership for occupational education and economic development
  • Promote collaborative efforts among public and private sectors
  • Advocate for the needs of occupational education and economic development
  • Promote member involvement in the development and implementation of policies
  • Expand participation of under-represented students, faculty, administrators, and staff in occupational education and economic development activities
  • Establish effective communication strategies between CCCAOE and other agencies and organizations

Growth and Development

  • Stimulate innovation and responsiveness in development and delivery of programs and services
  • Disseminate research findings
  • Provide for and support the development of leadership within the Association
  • CCCAOE objectives and activities are related to each of these goals. The main activity, the planning and implementation of two conferences each year, is directed toward accomplishing these goals.
