California Community College Association for Occupational Education’s (CCCAOE) conferences are widely known for offering powerful keynote, plenary, and pre-conference experiences. Each year CCCAOE works with a theme. This year’s theme is Shaping a Sustainable Future for California’s Diverse Workforce.

 

Your CCCAOE professional development planning committee for the Spring 2024 Conference has aligned the conference strands with Vision 2030 and the feedback you provided in the 2024 Survey.

ITINERARY

The pre-conference sessions are on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 and run from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Hyatt Regency. The full conference begins on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Safe Credit Union Convention Center, Sacramento. The conference will wrap up on Friday, April 26, 2024, by noon.

Meals: Breakfasts are provided Wednesday – Friday at Hyatt Regency Sacramento. Mid-morning breaks, lunch, and mid-afternoon breaks will be provided Wednesday – Friday at the Safe Credit Union Convention Center. President’s Reception on Wednesday Evening at Cafeteria 15L.

10:45 a.m. – Keynote – Juan Torres – NREL

Mr. Juan Torres is the Associate Laboratory Director for Energy Systems Integration at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. In this role, he oversees NREL’s research on power systems, cybersecurity, energy security and resilience, decision science, and systems analysis. Torres is Co-Chair for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Grid Modernization Laboratory Consortium (GMLC), a partnership of 14 national laboratories to advance modernization of the U.S. power grid. He co-leads the Advanced Research on Integrated Energy Systems (ARIES) research platform and oversees its cyber range. ARIES matches the scale and complexity of real energy systems to accelerate pathways for a clean, secure, and resilient energy future.

Are hotel accommodations included in my registration?

No. – All attendees are responsible for covering the cost of their own hotel accommodations

Is the preconference worked into the full registration cost, or is that a separate cost?

The pre-conference is worked into the full registration. However, that day does not include meals.
Separate RSVPs for each pre-conference offering will be required once they are released.
Stay tuned for when those flyers are released to RSVP.

Will meals be provided to attendees?

Breakfast is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Lunch is served on Wednesday and Thursday. A light evening reception is served on Wednesday evening.

Is there a way to request a refund if I register and am unable to attend?

Yes. – Please consult our refund policy here.
Refunds will take 4 – 6 weeks post-conference.

Can I substitute my registration for someone else?

Attendance Substitutes are acceptable. However, after the cancellation deadline, you are responsible for full payment.
Please email substitute’s first and last name, cellphone (for registration purposes) as well as their job title and college/organization affiliation to registration@cccaoe.org for name tag and registration purposes as early as possible.
Please include your name and organization in the email.
